Christmas Chapstick Cards

Me and my daughter made these chapstick cards for my Activity Day girls and her friends for a cute little Christmas gift.

Materials used:
  • Green cardstock
  • Red cardstock
  • Red glitter cardstock
  • Warm wishes stamp
  • Red ink
  • Red and green ribbon
  • Snowflake brads
  •  Stampin Up snowflake punch
  • Sixxix Big Shot embossing folder Northern Flurries

Directions:
  • Cut the green cardstock 6 x 3.75 and score at 2.5 and 3.5.
  • Cut red cardstock 5.5 x 3.5 and score at 2.25 and 3.25.
  • Emboss red cardstock with embossing folder.
  • Punch snowflake from red glitter cardstock.  This cardstock is a little thicker than normal so it is a little hard to punch through.
  • Stamp and place glitter snowflake with snowflake brad on the green card stock (front of card)
  • Lay green card stock down, lay ribbon down on top of it and glue red card stock on top of green and ribbon.
  • Place chapstick in the middle with removable glue dots.
  • Tie ribbon on the side.

Advent Calendar

I made a new advent calendar this year.  We didn't need a new one but I saw this idea and LOVED it.  I got the printables for the numbers here.  I already had a 12x12 piece of sheet metal from a gift I was given years ago.  I covered it with a piece of scrapbook paper and added a piece of ribbon for the hanger.

On the inside glued the cute printables from the same website as the numbers.  There are some preprinted as well as blank.  The only one I used preprinted was the Christmas day one.  I have seen so many cute ideas for things to do during December such as: make cookies, make ornaments, build a snowman etc.  However my kids are a little older and honestly we just don't have time to do all kinds of great things like that and there is really no snow in Maryland I decided to only have activities on the weekends.  A few of the activities are, driving around looking at lights, a live nativity, going to a train garden and going to the temple lights.  The rest of the days I just left blank.

Each day I put in 3 kisses.  One for each kid.  And to make them somewhat special (though that may only be for me because I doubt they care) I used these adorable printables.  Punched them out and stuck them on all 75 kisses. Just and FYI, you can only fit 3 kisses in each little tin.
